Intuitive Eating is an evidence‑based approach created in 1995 by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. It emphasizes listening to internal body signals—such as hunger, fullness, and satisfaction—rather than following external diet rules. The goal is health, well‑being, and a peaceful relationship with food, not weight loss as an outcome

Intuitive eating is an evidence-based approach developed by two registered dietitians that focuses on reconnecting with your body's natural hunger and fullness cues, letting go of diet culture, and developing a peaceful relationship with food. It is not a weight loss program. While it is beneficial for many people, we work with each client individually to determine whether intuitive eating, or elements of it, are appropriate for their specific situation, including any medical conditions.
Yes, with guidance. Intuitive eating and medical nutrition therapy are not mutually exclusive. Our dietitians are experienced in helping clients with conditions like PCOS, diabetes, and digestive issues integrate gentle nutrition principles while still supporting their health needs — without falling back into restrictive dieting patterns.
