We provide specialized nutrition therapy for adults, children, and teens struggling with disordered eating, chronic issues with food, body image issues, and dieting concerns. Our approach is a warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care.
We support clients with:
Our dietitians use a trauma‑informed, weight‑inclusive approach to help clients:
We practice from a weight‑inclusive, non‑diet, and trauma‑informed lens. Recovery is not linear — and we meet you exactly where you are.
If you're tired of restrictive eating patterns and all that comes with them, we're here to help.
We provide convenient in‑person appointments for families across the Triangle (Cary, Apex, Raleigh, Holly Springs, Fuquay‑Varina, Wake Forest and surrounding communities), and telehealth services support for those who cannot travel easily or who prefer to meet virtually throughout NC. (We also offer telehealth services to families in AZ, CA, CO, and VA.)

Please reach us at info@stepping-stonesnutrition.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We work with clients experiencing any symptoms related to any diagnosed or undiagnosed eating disorder including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID ("Avoidant & Restrictive Food Intake Disorder"), and OSFED ("Otherwise Specified Feeding & Eating Disorder")]. We work closely with therapists and physicians to provide collaborative treatment.
We do not need a referral for you to schedule an appointment with us. However, if under your current insurance plan you have needed referrals for other medical services, do check with your insurance to see if your insurance requires you to have a referral for nutrition services before beginning your work with us.
You do not need a formal diagnosis to receive support. Many people seek nutrition therapy because they feel stressed around food, notice patterns that don’t feel “normal,” or want help understanding their eating habits. Early signs—skipping meals, food anxiety, rigid rules, nighttime overeating, or constant worry about weight or body image—are worth paying attention to, even without a diagnosis.
